DESCRIPTION:Mullet Creek Raft-up 1st of October to 3rd of October \nAfter a long period of pandemic and flood events preventing us from having any Club activities\, the Committee is inviting you to join in to a trip to Mullet Creek this October Long Weekend \nWe do have a Club mooring in Mullet Creek and the ones in the know do go there quite frequently. \nCoordinates of mooring \nMullet Creek 33°29’23.1”S 151°15’42.2”E \nhttps://bwmyc.com.au/club-moorings/ \nIt’s located north of the railway bridge at Dangar Island. \nAccess is limited to the tides. \nThe inlet is very shallow so most larger boats can enter or leave at high tide only. \nThis year the tides are favourable and do allow entry at a convenient time around lunch time. \nHigh Tides Hawkesbury River – Mullet Creek Entrance \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \nFor those who have never been there and like to have a look\, you can join our convoy and tag along. \nLet the Committee or Commodore know that you are interested and we will accommodate you. \nMullet Creek is a place of rich history \n   \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nhttps://lostintimehistory.com/mullet-creek-history/ \nhttp://www.bleakscenes.net/australia/shacks-near-railroad/ \nWe will have a raft up at our Club mooring for the entire long weekend. \nClub members are welcome to join at any time even just for a day/night. \nThere is plenty of activities one can enjoy in Mullet Creek. \nIt’s good fishing in Mullet Creek as the name indicates. \nShould you want to welcome visitors on to your boat\, Wondabyne Station is just a short dinghy trip away. \nPassengers need to be in last carriage of the train and inform the train guard to stop at Wondabyne. \nInterestingly Wondabyne Station is one of the few places in the world where one flags down a train on approach to stop and it is the only train station inaccessible by road in Australia. \nOne can also take advantage of the train to go to either Brooklyn to the Angler’s Rest to have a meal and a beer or going up North to Woy Woy\, which has a nice Pub near the Station and shopping to offer for those interested. \nOther to do things are a dinghy trip to Dangar Island to enjoy a couple of beers and lunch at the Bowlo\, have a game of barefoot bowls or take a trip to the “Icicles or Tanks” near Dangar Island and climb up to the fresh water pools at the top of the waterfall. \nThe long weekend will be 1st of October to the 3rd of October 2022. \nThe Committee wishes all of you a lot of fun on the water and we are looking forward seeing you in Mullet Creek. \nHappy boating from your \nCommittee
