THE BWMYC EASTER CLUB MOORING CRUISE

 

• 2^nd April meet 1:30pm Joe Crafts Bay
• 2^nd April meet 2:15 pm Brooklyn
• Cruise to America’s Bay
• 3^rd April Americas Bay to Spencer – Thai dinner
• 4^th April Spencer to Joe Crafts Bay

Please note we need to know numbers to be able to prebook a table for the Thai Dinner at Spencer.

This year we will go to multiple destinations which will give you an opportunity to give your boat a good run and to enjoy the company of your club mates at multiple raft ups.

We will travel in Convoy at slow speed so everybody can keep up with the group and there is plenty of time to take in the unique scenery of our beautiful waterways.

Some of you may just want to come to one or two destinations.

Just make sure you have appropriate ropes and fenders ready when approaching the raft aft and call in on UHF radio Channel 72 for directions.

If you are not confident in rafting up but would like to give it a go, there will be help at hand to guide you through the process.

Call in on UHF 72 and let us know that you would like assistance.

The Cruise will go from Joe Crafts Bay to our Club mooring at Americas Bay.

We start our journey from Joe Crafts Bay at 1:30 pm and Brooklyn based Club Members

will have the opportunity to join the convoy at approx. 2:15pm at Brooklyn.

From Americas Bay we will cruise to our Club mooring at Spencer the next day.

At Spencer we will have dinner at the local Thai restaurant at a prebooked table at 6:30pm.

From Spencer the convoy will head to Joe Crafts Bay for the remaining two days of the easter weekend.

Originally the Committee thought of visiting all of our Club mooring during this trip.

Unfortunately, the tides are not allowing us to get into Mullet Creek.

We will include Mullet Creek at another Club event in the near future.

We hope many of you will come along and enjoy the club cruise with us this year.

Just follow the leading boat and enjoy the scenery.

 

Itinerary:

Friday April 2

Assembly point Joe Crafts Bay

Convoy leaves at 1:30 pm with outgoing tide

Destination Americas Bay Club mooring.

Raft up

 

Saturday April 3

Convoy leaves at 11 am to take advantage of the incoming tide

Destination Spencer club mooring Raft up Dinner at Thai restaurant at 6:30pm

 

Sunday April 4

Convoy leaves at approx. 3 pm.

Destination Joe Crafts Bay Club mooring.

BYO BBQ ashore at some time. Club BBQ will be provided please bring a chair.

Raft up till Monday.
